Board of Education

The Pryor Public Schools Board of Education is responsible for adopting policies, overseeing the budget, and monitoring the district’s progress. Board members are elected to serve five-year terms, with each member representing a specific ward within the school district.

To serve, board members must reside within the district, maintaining a close connection to the community they represent. Through their leadership and oversight, the Pryor Board of Education ensures the district continues to thrive and meet its strategic objectives.

G. Voted to approve hiring the following Classified staff members on a temporary contract for  the 2026-2027 school year: Mandy Thompson- Roosevelt Elementary Administrative Assistant 

H. Voted to approve hiring the following Certified staff members on a temporary contract for  the 2026-2027 school year: Jamie Ross - Roosevelt Counselor, Carrington Hollingsworth - Jefferson SLP, Candace Moore - PMS Science, Ashleigh Taylor - PHS Science, Katy Rowland  - Roosevelt 3rd Grade 

I. Voted to approve hiring the following Summer 2026 Hires on a temporary contract: Dakota  Stipes- IT Department, Lisa Miller- IT Department, Kim Dale- IT Department, Roger  Littleton- Paint Crew, Shawn Hodges- Paint Crew, Colin Hodges- Paint Crew, Jeff Cook- Paint  Crew (beginning April 2026) 

J. Voted to approve extra duty, professional development stipends and salary adjustments as  submitted for the 2025-2026 school year. 

K. Voted to approve New Positions for the 2026-2027 School Year: Special Education  Teacher- Pryor Middle School (1.0 FTE), Special Education Coordinator (1.0 FTE), 4th Grade  Teacher- Lincoln Elementary School (1.0 FTE), Director of Personnel- Pryor Education  Service Center (1.0 FTE) 

L. Voted to approve hiring an individual to be named as the Pryor High School principal for  the 2026-2027 school year: Steven Goss 

M. Voted to approve the employment Turner and Associates, PLC for the preparation of the  2025-2026 financial statements and supporting workpapers for the Auditor and the 2026-2027 

Estimate of Needs (S.A.&I. Form 2661R06) and 2026-2027 Publication Sheet (S.A.&I. Form  2662R06, Exhibit “Z”) to be included in the form prescribed by the State of Oklahoma for the  Pryor School District. 

N. Voted to approve AIA Document G701-2017 Change Order #1 for the Pryor Middle School  Renovation Project. 

O. Voted to approve AIA Document A133-2019 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner  and Construction Manager as Constructor with Bravo Builders, LLC for the Middle School  Reroof project. 

P. Voted to approve accepting the lowest responsible bids for the Pryor Middle School Reroof  Project. 

Q. Voted to approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the Pryor Middle School Reroof  Project submitted by Bravo Builders, LLC. 

R. Voted to approve declaring Board of Education Seat 2 to be vacant. 

5. Superintendent's Report 

Congratulations to the following students who were recognized as Oklahoma Academic  Scholars: Ava Akers, Caleb Halstead, Carson Joice, Blaine Kallin, Stateson Matheson, Owen  Nofsinger, and Leah White. To earn this recognition, students must have at least a 3.7 GPA  and an ACT score of 27 or better.
