Our Story
Located among agricultural fields, small-town living, growing industry, and thriving tech of northeastern Oklahoma, Pryor Public Schools has become the hub for an educational system focused on college preparation, career tech, and character growth. Since opening its doors in 1902, change has been consistent for Pryor Public Schools. What has remained constant is the commitment to stimulate intellectual curiosity and create life-long learners.
Community Snapshot
This is who we are.
Today, PPS serves approximately 2953 learners from diverse backgrounds pursuing their individual educational goals. With a student-to-teacher ratio of 13:1, students are supported in their learning journey in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, and as they explore college classes and the workplace.
Since 1902
Pryor Public Schools began on a single campus and is now a 5A multi-campus district.
The district was established on August 7, 1902. Students began attending classes 2 months later. Change has been consistent for the district; however, district values remain constant—respect, commitment, trust, and communication.
